this term is mainly associated with technology products, but is also well known in
the fashion industry. in china, we started our production from cotton to more tech-
nical materials like nylon. producing our goods in china was our foundation for
being able to realize our demands on quality and design, but it also had its certain downsides when it comes to sustainability. using certified recycled fabrics or organic cotton is difficult to achieve, as minimums are quite high and transparency turns out to be a challenge. additionally, the long transportation ways became more and more of an issue for us. all those things as well as our desired push for sustainability resulted in a situation where we needed to change something. that’s why we are currently relocating the majority of our jersey and sweat production to other countries.
the comparatively small proportion of outerwear jackets in the collection is still
produced in china, as the majority of recycled technical fabrics are processed there.
despite the sustainable challenges we are still working with our suppliers to also
achieve our goals as we strongly believe that change is important everywhere.
